Arthur Gay

Arthur Gay is the owner of Arthur Gay Intermediary Services, LLC a firm devoted exclusively to working with taxpayers who wish to use Section 1031 of the tax code to complete tax deferred exchanges. These exchanges may be Real Estate for Real Estate or Personal Property for Personal Property.

Arthur is married and has 3 daughters and 3 grand daughters all of whom live in the Tallahassee area. He is an Episcopalian and a veteran of the United States Army. He was born and educated in Alabama and moved to Florida as a young adult. He was for many years a Commercial Real Estate Broker (CCIM, GRI designation) in Tallahassee and began to help those of his clients who wished to exchange property rather than to just “go out of title and pay taxes.”

As time went by it became apparent to him that he enjoyed the exchanging aspect of real estate activity more than owning and operating a commercial real estate firm. Though Arthur has been involved in tax deferred exchanges since 1978 the transition began after the IRC Code revision of 1991 and all brokering and listing and management was exchanged for his present pursuit of full time intermediary work.
